Saskatchewan 2 Deer Area

My name is Ken Gingrich. I have been hunting white tails up in Alberta and Saskatchewan for a lot of years, and have been a caribou and bear guide for 35 years. This past year, I hunted in Saskatchewan on an Indian reserve, that is in deer management area. Deer hunting in Saskatchewan is expensive, so I am working with an outfitter to put a package together for the average working man to afford. Most deer hunts are priced approximately $5000.00 or more inclusive package. Hunters that have hunted Saskatchwean and Alberta will tell you the average buck harvested scores, 140. B.C. or larger. Mike Wuttunee is the outfitter, we are planning on only taking six hunters a week for a five week period. We will be hunting in the Southern zone on private property, which is under deer management. In this area we have taken bucks scoring up to 208 B.C. The number one world's record buck had been harvested 15 miles from our property.

Here are a couple references that hunted with me this past year:
Al Sheaffer (717) 468-4241
Dennis Scritchfield (717) 354-0521
Howard Winey (717) 354-4232
Devon Groff (717) 898-8421
Dennis Dagen (717) 629-1740

Coyote Hill Outfitters was passed down to me by my father in the 2006 hunting season. I have grown up on Red Pheasant First Nation and have hunted for as long as I can remember. It is a love and my biggest hobby. Last year was a terrific year for our hunters. Every hunter was able to take back a piece of my homeland, and by that I mean a nice Whitetail buck. As well as we were about 90% for our Mule deer. Our deer score anywhere from 140 to well over 200. Last year our average score was about 150-160. I am very traditional and think of these animals as a great gift that we have to hunt, and therefore I believe in showing my hunters and the animals that respect. Red Pheasant First Nation settled approximately 35 kilometers South of Battleford, Saskatchewan in 1878. With over 2000 Bank members and land holdings of over 70,000 acres, Red Pheasant is amongst the largest reservation in the province.

I have two areas in which I take my hunters. There is the "North Pasture", which seen great success in 2007. There was one blind where we actually took out three nice bucks alone. The greatest area in which we see the Boone and Crockett is what we call the "River Land". This is a hug area with rolling hills and tons o bush area. Perfect for hunting those "book bucks". I provide experienced guides who have all grown up in these areas and now them well. Our hunting grounds are located approximately 20 miles from where the world record "Hanson Buck" was shot. We are an approximate 6 hour drive north of the United States border. If you are flying in, you will fly into Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in which we are a 1.5 hour drive North West of.
